The Dreaded Lion

The afro seed
tall in untouched
short in mowed
a spreader nonetheless
vitamin A

The dreaded dandelion
seeds matted together
roots deep
jonesing for release
but the lawns are home

hear the buzz
weed the leaf
the dreaded dandy lion
skipping pleasing
harvesting
kicking
may gall
guts and integrity
weed the weedidicity.

The dreaded dandelion's seed
spread in wind
or children playing with wishes
happily
may the head pop off of the ranker
and weedlike children
crawl out
spreading
twisting
mythology
to perfection.

Now cut out the lazy humanity.
