Turtle, Hare, and Flying Rabbit

Hare is already there
and Turtle hides in his shell.

When Turtle and Hare
were young they played many games
they grew as friends do
and they decided to find new lands together
and when reached the edge of the desert
Hare did boast that his skills were better
and he'd beat Turtle across the desert.

Before Turtle had a chance to answer
Hare had begun his race
of course Hare was quick
and well adapted to the desert
but Turtle slow had to stop
now and again when the sun got too hot
so he hid in his shell from the heat.

When Hare reached the other side
Turtle was there and said:
"Oh Hare you have won the race."
Hare said: "Hey how in hell did you beat me."
Turtle invited Hare into his shell
but Hare did not like that nasty place
but Turtle said it was the only way
he would know of the powers that helped him win.

Now the shell of Turtle was a relatively magic place
and it held the records of time
When Hare entered he learned of the power
and how Turle won the race:

Hare beheld Hare win the race
and when he got there he looked back
to see turtle dead in the desert
where Vultures circled his carcass.

Hare began to weep for his old friend Turtle
then he heard Turtle's voice say
come and enter my shell
Hare thought he was going insane
but he went and entered the shell
and learned of the power of Flying Rabbit
and was able to master this power
when he awoke from the dream
he transformed himself
to Flying Rabbit and went above the desert
and each time Turtle hid from the heat
Flying Rabbit would chase away the Vultures
and carry Turtle a little farther and faster
and this is how Turtle had won the race.

When Hare came out of Turtles shell
he laughed and said "well done Turtle
we have won" and there was Flying Rabbit
and they all sat to eat a meal on the other side of the desert
and even the Vultures were allowed scraps
and they all danced to music of the land called
Flying Turtle.

Hare is already there
and Turtle hides in his shell.
