These erroneous impressions in snow
are of Angels don't you know?
They are of Kings & Queens
and special things
like dawns before the light does show
making birds sing at errant hours
and innocence believe in childish things
but in the background there dissipates a laughter
calling home the mistaken ones
and their deeds that in shadows do dwell.
