(written 7/11/2000)

search for excitement
go to the edge of the window
sniff the air
do you hear
the racoons?
boredom showed'em
curiosity got the best of me
now I've met the legion of doom
the old rusty iron gears
in the machine of the old living creature
oh! I've learned so much
yes I've learned to hate'em
so sensitive to the touch
my eyes from the light descendin'
blinded me
you see
know I know better
excuse me now I mean
I love to pet her
and she loves to beam

(Written 5/22/2001)

The skin covers over
it hovers over
the End
laughter heard
underneath pain-absurd
left in cold water
to waste away

through the last
keeping pace
in a face ghastly
homely
horse flys
and lollypops
going not to stay

lift her higher
leave behind her
and look toward
her
she is
mine.

Friday Again

But first an image
of the child bathing
smiling splashing water
her heart singing
nothing else existing

soap on surface
in a sardonic freedom
her eyes scan side to side
then she smiles again
looks toward heaven

and splashes
her hair gets wet
she's barley aware
plans in her heart
hears Father's steps

lets out a giggle
heart free
pulls the plug
gets dry
night time.

Look around
put your money down
walk
look not side to side
know rank
blind
cope
live and love
forgive
no resistance
smile.

Fantastic Restraint

Only in darkness
does this poem feel
her eyes are opened
cooking a meal

choose
the loud sound
of fantasy unreal
or the quiet arousal
of increasing breaths
gnawing away restraint
slowly the steps get taint
things of consequence taught
spend fighting night only in arms
unholy hell slaughter tortures flesh
war and battle slumbers arrests kisses
till paradise comes

wish only for finger tip
palms post traumatic stress
bonding boundaries mapped for life
fantasy
rip the arrow from the heart
only love reaps the above rewards
suddenly in freedom and cool air calming
like a fever broke still
no longer a heart
just a dream
a fantasy
she is
here
and serves our meal.

Rare

Rare
blood oozing
half baked
sizzla
make me yours
voracious tonite

held back
come for me
cut the paper
or be separate
from peers

hunter can you function
navigate reality
who do you speak
to these days
if not time?

an old white beard
long and dry
the point?

of all these hot days wave
coming is fall
autumn calls
clean your teeth
whisper
wink
sing
scan my heart
all who fear
in mirror alone
cover you
I-me
always till
I'm home

Rare-
beware you in court
next not the one
come
come all
my tongue is harsh
hard fall
meditate
trust a full moon
love the next woman
gives me her heart
until the cows come home
no more
as the raven in back caws
forevermore

In Dark Dusk

Frost
takes paths lesser traveling
a quote for a day
an image hand grenading
its that time
do you know where your children are?

Its cold out there
put on your gloves
cover your nose when you sneeze
oh--
know the inventor of the crook
or the armchair cover?
empty your spam box
watch your sodium intake
hate

pills, plastic, yellow teeth
breasts bounty
train in scales
walk the rails
don't miss
a beat less
the slaves laid down

listen hearing the rejection of offerings
that tears spent hagglings
hours on end in court room pleas
apologies for readings
if these slipped out
need for dread healing
in-justice
lost

cause ripping it in lower depths
hope damages relations end
out of hand first and last
come again
but she
oh she
is deranged like moon cycling
waxing legs
wining dregs
arranged
for in fits of sin expelled
neck belled like property
and reaped alone
among as if hordes of concubines
but at least not one love
stolen.

Sabbath at Dawn

Post Woodstock
padding the bat on the plate
a paper plate
headless legend
black leather
clad cloven hoof
interwoven web
sits in the cooling
like a widow

only one in higher realm
can know these words
but as they slip and slither
only those finding meaning see

more?

behold the ripe insanity
hidden for fear of acceptance bold
and jealous cause the pain comes:

in an instant flesh rocked
dusty room squeaking spring
rusted pipes begin to call
aware of all simultaneous
asexual potentate
throne saw saviour
only thought
galaxies merge
yeah- I 'loved' her
in savage breaths

entropy released
DNA
breakdown for more
more, more, death
in pain loosing
judgment in safe places
out of revenge
humanity traces
faces in sand hoping
for the Bad Monkey
to redeem all his chips
at the end of the day
and take off the heels
bone spurn
fears

The Light From The Bright Morning Star
bookends
Black
Dawns
no more tears
emancipate
and protect
our minds
the gates are shut
open
no one hides.

A Conversation with Nathan

After the prophet left the king
a cloud came from the heavens
a voice said to him
"look at this vessel
your words to David
will travel
come speak again"

and now upon The Prophet and King
the offspring
the words of Nathan descend
of greed in abundance of politics
the harsh judgment upon a blessed family
cursed through time
for one upon another affection fulfilled
an end just before finishing time.

for in an accursed family the judgement
of a stayed catastrophe
for beauty and lust
all derived is healing
for look King free agent
fallen for a forbidden Queen
dark intent
in front lines

in fear of course Abba! his spirit cries

Nathan's words say:
"Father his family must stay
for all involved
are righteous acts
what do you intend to do?"

The three will heal
but not as one
and a fourth will steal
all jealousy
for he saw her breath
and heard her song
he will fall
for the saftey of the Queen
to return home
nor should she believe forever in Babylon
that he so harshly hates

"And what of their love?" Nathan asks:

it shall never fade
as the chords expand
this human feeling
will rent and shatter
bounds denied
and holy written
apologies
overcome cupids quill
and they embrace again
with tears real
and the wings sing
a new beginning
a blessed family

and Nathan said unto The King:
"In irony and balance

the worst made right
a focus in a scream
the streets themselves tremble
while the people passed over
knee deep in blood of David's kin
that time will end
soon, close, fear not
listen him roar: 'Zion!'
The Lion has come!"
