Road Kill

She did not see it coming
her children behind playing
they frolic in her path
she did not know they move that fast
they lag behind in innocence
believing they know the key
she did not see it coming
now they wail and are starving.

I did not see it coming
then I saw her end trails
and the fresh blood spattered
the tire pressure just right
to serve efficiency
what just vanity
cage this emotion
usless
pointless
nothing will listen
nothing is this feeling
I did not see it coming.

Staff-like coptic anger
released upon infinity
this vanity could use some balancing
abandoned shopping cart
a cliche' so handy
on this highway human fear was in carriages
for my heart was acting
from power beyond me
this I caged and loosed retaliation
within the confines of time
punishment for a clean justice
for law is in place
and those who do not obey
are road kill.

We did not see it coming
struck by lightning
now we're starving.

Balance can always be found...
Good day Love.

If it is not found it is called falling. A falling is a balancing out of the faller's control.
